What is it?

Sea Whip/Gorgonian extract is a natural ingredient that is safe, effective, and environmentally friendly. It is an extract from the marine organism Pseudopterogoria Elisabethae (Sea Whip), a renewable resource harvested from the Caribbean Sea, which consists primarily of powerful compounds called pseudopterosins.

How can Sea Whip extract help my skin?

Sea Whip extract is known as an extremophile; extremophiles are organisms that live in very extreme environments and can survive conditions that would kill most other organisms; for example high temperatures or high concentrations of salt in water. Extremophiles can survive in these hostile environments because they possess protective and repairing enzymes and these survival enzymes, or ‘DNA repair enzymes’, are what benefit the skin, as they protect DNA and protein in skin from environmental damage.
