Vicky G

Having been with the company now for 12 years, Vicky is the most organised person we know, plus she knows a few things about the products too…

Tell us a bit about yourself Vick?

Born and bred in Ipswich, after leaving school I attended College to train to be a legal secretary whilst also studying bookkeeping and English A-Level. I worked at various solicitors in the town, then after a brief stint travelling around Australia and New Zealand, I decided to go for a change and enter the beauty industry by taking a job with Pevonia as a Personal Assistant.  12 years later, I’m still here!

I only work part time now as I’m a mummy to my little 3 year old superhero Max.

I absolutely love music, beach life, walking, yoga, good food, oh and Tom Hardy.

What’s your area of expertise?

Organisation and touch typing at the speed of light.

Do you have a personal beauty tip to share?

Protect, protect, protect!  Always wear sunscreen.  I wish I had listened to this more when I was younger as unfortunately I now suffer with pigmentation problems since being pregnant.

What is your favourite Pevonia product?

Pevonia Hydrating Suncream SPF30 is my saviour.  I wear it every day, even in winter to help protect against further pigmentation problems.  I also love the new LipRenew, it really does plump your pout.

Do you have a real beauty no-no or bug bear?

Sunbeds!  Although I admit to having used them in the past it makes me cringe now when I see people using them, they are so dangerous.  I’m also not a fan of really heavy eyebrows, but so long as everyone is happy in themselves who cares, that's the main thing.

What goes on in your average day at Pevonia?

Lots of email correspondence, arranging and preparing for meetings, diary management, booking flights and preparing itineraries, minute taking and general admin.

Desert Island Disc?

Anything by Kings of Leon, Killers, Coldplay, Arctic Monkeys or some funky house or garage.

Last meal?

This is hard as I’m a real lover of food (eating that is, I’m a terrible cook).  Probably steak (cooked fairly rare), Tapas or anything Thai, followed by a Chocolate Malteaser Cheesecake teamed with a glass of Sauvignon Blanc or a Berry Passion cocktail.

What is your favourite spot/place to visit

There are too many to mention!  Fraser Island and the Barrier Reef in Australia – what’s not to love?  But we can’t go there every day, so for more local spots I love Walberswick, Southwold and Covehithe - basically anywhere by the sea!

Describe your perfect day?

A day spent relaxing on the beach and swimming in the sea, before donning a maxi dress and dining alfresco in the evening with a glass of wine whist watching the sun set and listening to some chilled house music - life is better in flip flops!
