PEVONIA HELPS BEAUTY SECTOR RETAIN WORLDSKILLS ‘GOLD’
Pevonia UK helps Beauty Sector Retain WorldSkills ‘Gold’
Pevonia UK is proud to have supplied equipment to the UK Beauty Team as they competed in WorldSkills this year.
WorldSkills competitions measure excellence, celebrate champions and encourage hundreds of thousands of young people to turn their passions into a profession. The international competition is hosted by a different country each year and brings together competitors from 63 countries who compete in 56 different skills.
National Team UK selection events took place all over the UK before the winners went on to compete in the Skills Olympics.
Pevonia provides a wide range of specialist equipment to spas and salons throughout the UK. From treatment beds, trolleys and steamers, to mag lamps and hot towel cabis. For WorldSkills, the equipment comprised the Ionto-Aquasonic, Ionto Herb Tower Steamer, Maglamp, Hot Stone Kit and Hot Stone Heater.
Pevonia UK also provided complimentary training on the IONTO-COMED cosmetic device. Rebecca West, the UK competitor for the Beauty sector, completed her training, in Berlin, in April.
She went on to take part in the WorldSkills ‘Skills Olympics’ in Kazan, Russia, using the equipment supplied, at the end of August 2019. Rebecca won a gold medal for the UK team. She commented “I particularly loved using the steamer as it was so easy. The idea of infusing the water used to steam was so clever and it really personalised the treatment for my client.
Jane Norman, PR & Marketing Manager for Pevonia UK said “We are delighted to be associated with WorldSkills and to see Rebecca’s success. Competitions are an exciting part of the development of skills in both students and professionals. We all wish Rebecca the very best as she completes her studies to drive her career forward.”
