Seaweed is the common name for many species of marine plants and algae that grow in the ocean as well as in rivers and lakes. Seaweed or Algae is one of the oldest forms of life on the planet and can include members of green, red or brown algae families; and are around 10,000 species found in many marine habitats around the world.

Seaweed contains a wealth of mineral and macro-elements, vitamins and trace elements with the mineral content so high; it makes up to 80% of its dry matter. More importantly, seaweed contains natural anti-ageing and anti-cellulite properties, improving the suppleness and the elasticity of the skin by stimulating the renewal of damaged skin cells.
