Frequently Asked Questions about
Pevonia Mask and Spa Body Treatments
Q:
I have a client who is 3 months pregnant; can she have a body wrap?
A:
We don’t recommend the use of any of our body wraps during pregnancy. You could however, offer a Body Polish or a Massage (without the use of essential oils).
Q:
A client has an allergy to copper and zinc; can she have a Moor Mud Wrap?
A:
No, the Moor Mud is very rich in minerals, as is the Desert Heat (particularly copper) and the Seaweed Wrap. We would recommend that under these circumstances you do the Aromatherapy Cocoon.
Q:
I have a client who had cosmetic surgery three months ago - an eye and face lift. Can I perform a facial?
A:
Yes, if the scars have healed and are showing no signs of any problems. We would recommend that you avoid the scarred areas as much as possible and that you opt for the Prescription Facial without an eye mask.
Q:
Are there any body treatments that can be carried out where varicose veins are present?
A:
We recommend that you avoid hydrotherapy and heat treatments. Any of our body wraps can be done over varicose and spider veins.
Q:
How often can the Skin Smoothing Cellulite Treatment be carried out if a client wants maximum results quickly before a holiday?
A:
This treatment can be carried out every day if the client wishes.
Q:
I have a client with high blood pressure; is it safe to give her a body wrap?
A:
Yes, as long as her blood pressure is being controlled and is not excessively high. We recommend that you use a space blanket and not the heated blanket in these circumstances.
