The 5* Heritage Golf & Spa Resort entered into the highly contended awards in September 2008, and were recently announced as the winners of the Best Spa Resort, at the IBPA Gala Dinner on Sunday 5th May 2009.
In order to be considered for this prestigious award, The Heritage Golf & Spa Resort submitted a well thought-out entry detailing all aspects of how they run such a successful spa, justifying the reasons why they should be chosen as winners. All entries were assessed and shortlisted to the final five. Lisa Knowles owner of The Spa Set in the UK was the judge of this category. Lisa visited each of the five finalists, conducting interviews with the Spa Owner and Manager, experienced a range of treatments and stayed overnight at each venue. Lisa assessed each spa shortlisted within the category individually before concluding that The Heritage Golf & Spa Resort fully deserved the Best Spa Award 2009.
